An opportunity to see some bomb rowing is coming up at Canadian Henley in St. Catherine's, Ontario, August 4th through the 9th. So if you have a hankering to spot hotties from the grandstand or just want to embrace Canada and all that is good (Niagara Falls, drinking age = 19), you should consider planning a trip. Also, if you miss Jon Brummer really hard, he'll be there rowing for West Side out of Buffalo in his last summer as a Senior B (U23) rower. I'm also saying good-bye to Senior B in at least an 8+, maybe also a 4- or 2-, we shall see what Nikolay says on Thursday besides something derogatory about my offensive stroke. Nik Goldberg and I are both rowing in Riverside stripes, and hello, I am coming off a really impressive (hmm) win in the 1000m dash that was Cromwell Cup. Hannah Wilkoff and Alina are thinking about making the trip, you really have got to get in on that. The other time I went, Rod was even there. It seemed like initially he pretended to not recognize me... it was an awkward moment. Then I saw the assistant coach from my freshman year trying to get 17-year-olds into the bars... that was a REALLY awkward moment.

To finish my ramblings, I will lapse into stream of consciousness... working at an ice cream store has its plusses and minuses, minuses including that I ate like 75 pounds of cookie dough one afternoon before 5 x 750m and almost introduced it to the Charles River. I can't wait to see The Time Traveler's Wife because Eric Bana is a babe. Went to NYC (saw Alina!) and someone asked if my boat bite was actually a dog bite. Waste all your time on cracked.com. If you want to buy me something to thank me for this blog entertainment, here is a list of things I need for my house: microwave, toaster, television, night stand, lamp, replacement futon, pots, pans, disco ball, strobe light... wait have that last one already. Finally, wiggly H... did I share that with anyone?

Few more weeks of summer, enjoyyyyy AND go to Canada, damn it, you won't regret it.

Nik was consistently contributing the most points for his team every week, with Hannah W. and Kyle definitely pitching in. Team No Off-Season looks like it might be suffering from some attrition issues as well. They're definitely hanging in there for one of the smaller teams. Nice job!

Catch-up

Hey gang,

My bad. I fell off the wagon with the points posting and I think I fell on my face. Here's some catching up:

Week 3- A total of 180 points with solid entries from Peter, Alina, and I.
Week 4-Holiday week hit us a little hard with only 157.5 points, with Alina and Peter again taking the lead. (Maybe the holiday week just hit me hard).
Week 5- Jumping back in the game and recovering nicely with 190 points. Jessi and Alina take the lead, with Peter and I on their heels.
